Acne is a skin condition that is suffered by most people at some point during their lifetime. The condition causes spots, as well as oily skin, and in some cases, the skin affected can be hot or induces pain when touched. Acne is regularly found on the face, but some individuals have it on their back or chest.
Having acne will result in spots forming, and there are 6 main types that are caused by this skin condition. Blackheads, whiteheads, papules, pustules, nodules and cysts can come as a result of tony hair follicles in the skin being blocked. The sebaceous glands, which are beneath the surface of the skin, produce too much sebum when a person has acne.
As a result, the excess sebum mixes with dead skin cells, creating a blockage for the follicle. This then forces the follicle to bulge outwards, creating a spot.
